MASKED Singer judge Rita Ora could be in for more shocks — after buying a haunted house from eccentric movie director Tim Burton for £8million.

It is not clear whether Tim, 62, has warned Rita, 30, about the spooky history of the 140-year-old mansion.

It is not clear whether Tim, 62, has warned Rita, 30, about the spooky history of the 140-year-old mansion.

The Edward Scissorhands film maker had revealed previously: “People definitely believe they hear strange things here at night.”

The news may add to the singer’s woes after it was revealed this week she had split from French film director Romain Gavras after six months, blaming lockdown.

She was also branded a Covidiot when she was caught breaching the rules by holding a birthday bash at a West London restaurant in November.

Rita bought the six-bedroom pad in London last week — before she attracted more lockdown criticism by jetting to Australia to film its version of The Voice.

The property is in an exclusive area where neighbours include Kate Moss and Jude Law.

Her current home, a £3million penthouse in West London, is on the market and she is set to make a £500,000 profit on the property if it sells.

Tim bought the mansion for £6million in 2008.

It is believed he moved into the home, which he previously used as a work base, with his girlfriend Berenice Percival, 45, in 2014 after he split from his ex-partner, actress Helena Bonham-Carter, 54.

The Crown star Helena featured in many of his movies and they have two children.

In 2015, Berenice started working on installing a swimming pool in the grounds but three years later he bought another even bigger mansion nearby worth £11million.

Rita now has plenty of room to throw parties when allowed.

She issued an apology for breaking lockdown rules with her birthday bash and volunteered to pay any fine — totalling as much as £10,000.
