PIG trotted round the dance floor in the second season of hit ITV show The Masked Dancer before being unmasked in the second episode.

The show sees 12 weird and wonderful acts showing off their moves, including Pig.

Who is The Masked Dancer UK’s Pig?

One talented star who was hoping to keep their identity a secret on The Masked Dancer season two was Pig.

Telly farmers Jimmy Doherty or Kaleb Cooper from Clarkson’s Farm were first suspected as trotting inside this costume.

However when she was unmasked, it was revealed to be Joanna Page, famed for her star turn in Gavin and Stacey.

What other characters are on The Masked Dancer?

Pig is just one of 12 new acts who will be trying to keep their identity a secret from the judges and viewers.

Each week they will perform a fabulous dance routine, that could be a clue to who they are.

Other characters taking part in The Masked Dancer 2022 include:

  • Onomatopoeia
  • Pearly King
  • Pig – revealed to be actress Joanna Page.
  • Pillar and Post
  • Prawn Cocktail

  • Tomato Sauce

How does The Masked Dancer work?

Each week celebrity contestants will perform a dance routine, while hiding their identity in an elaborate costume

As well as performing as their alter-egos, each act will offer cryptic clues as to their identity before they dance.

But their voices will be disguised to throw viewers and the judging panel off the scent.

The audience get to vote for their favourite and the bottom two will go before the judges who will choose which character they want to see unmasked.

Unfortunately viewers at home don’t get to vote – but they can still have fun trying to guess the identities of the celeb dancers.

When is The Masked Dancer on TV?

The new series of The Masked dancer began on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

It starts at 6.30pm each night on ITV and ITV Hub, and continue on Saturday nights at the same time.

Judges returning to the programme are Oti Mabuse, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall and they will be joined by Peter Crouch.

Peter takes over from usual judge Mo Gilligan.

Joel Dommett is once again the host of the show.
