‘Sack him!’ scream Dancing On Ice fans as they call for judge to be booted off show and name ‘incredible’ replacement


DANCING On Ice fans have called for one of the star judges to be permanently booted off show.

Ashley Banjo has been missing from the panel on the ITV primetime celebrity due to commitments with his dance group, Diversity.

The former Britain’s Got Talent winner has been on tour with his dance troupe.

Although Ashley, 35, has been missing for the last three weeks, the dancer is expected to make a return to the show for the semi-finals.

Three-time US national skating champion and two-time Olympian Johnny Weir has filled in for the star during his absence.

Johnny, 39, has sat alongside the likes of Jane Torvill, Christopher Dean and former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse.

He has received widespread praise from fans of Dancing On Ice, especially after his jaw dropping performance last week.

The show’s official social media account posted a video of the showcase on their grid page.

As he skated in the sequin jumpsuit, the account captioned the clip: “@johnnygweir blew us all away with this stunning performance #DancingOnIce.”

Fans couldn’t help but gush over the star following his recent appearances.

Viewers flooded the comments section of the post in their droves as they called for him to be given a full time slot on the panel.

One user asked: “Can he be a permanent judge??? 🥺🙏🏻.”

The comment was liked by hundreds of fellow fans of the hit ITV ice dancing show, which is presented by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern.

Other fans couldn’t help but echo the sentiment as one user wrote: “Agreed @dancingonice.”

Another stated: “He’s going back to the states. Only doing one more show. I’m gutted I can’t stand Banjo as a judge on there.”

Whilst a third agreed as they posted: “I wish 👏.”
