BOY George has been labelled the worst I’m A Celebrity campmate by fans who are upset by his treatment of shamed MP Matt Hancock.

The Culture Club, 61, star has revelled in Matt’s jungle misfortune so far after making it clear he was conflicted about being in camp with the former Health Secretary within moments of the MP’s late arrival.

Boy George has come under fire from I’m A Celebrity viewers

But viewers found it tough watching George, who was sentenced to 15 months in prison in 2009 for attacking and falsely imprisoning a male model, laugh as Matt was stung by a venomous scorpion in camp and mock the way he was sitting after being made camp leader.

While Matt felt woozy from his sting, George told the Bush Telegraph: “It was like, of all the people that could get stung by a scorpion.

“I mean, I’m not laughing. I’m sure it was horrible but [laughs].”

One viewer said: “Boy George is actually the worst person in the jungle, matt cant even sit on a chair correctly in his eyes #imaceleb.”

A second wrote: “F*****G HATE how some of the camp mates are treating Matt. Boy George get your head out your saggy arse and stop being a t**t. Matt is enjoying that leaders chair because he deserves it after doing all the trials. What have you done?? F**k all. BORING.#ImACeleb.”

Another posted: “I suspect this coming week, the public will tire of voting for Matt Hancock and turn their attention to Moyles and Boy George! Those two have not been coming across well!”

Matt, 44, yelped in pain and was rushed to see a medic after he was stung on his finger by the scorpion.

Members of the ITV crew managed to find the scorpion and safely remove it from the camp before it made its way to the other celebrities, HOAR can reveal.

A TV insider said: “Matt was in agony and described how it was twice as painful as a bee sting.

“Luckily Matt is absolutely fine but it was still a nasty sting.”

“These scorpions are seen throughout the jungle and the celebrities have been warned to keep an eye out to avoid painful stings.”

ICampmate Babatunde Aléshé, 36, asked Matt how he was feeling following the gruesome sting when it was announced the MP would be taking on another trial.

The comedian said: “Do you know what Matt? You are the man, you are the man!

“Four trials and you got stung by a scorpion and you have to go do a trial.”

Matt could have been stung by a black rock scorpion which are a reddish brown colour and are found in shallow burrows in forests and woodland throughout eastern Australia including New South Wales where the I’m A Celeb camp is based.

Their sting causes redness and swelling along with a burning or stinging sensation but it is mostly harmless.
