Frankie Dettori, the Italian jockey who was the first to be eliminated from the I’m A Celebrity camp, has shared a stomach-churning moment that viewers didn’t get to see on-screen.

Unseen Jungle Memory

During an Instagram Q&A session after leaving the camp, Dettori was asked about his favorite memory from the show. He revealed that his funniest moment wasn’t aired on ITV. He recounted the time when Tony accidentally put his size 12 foot in the frying pan, and everyone proceeded to eat the food without batting an eyelid. Dettori described it as the funniest moment and a memory he will never forget.

Challenging Experience

Before his exit from I’m A Celebrity, viewers had noticed that Dettori seemed to have disappeared from camp. In his first interview after leaving, Dettori expressed how surreal the experience had been. He mentioned that receiving a letter from loved ones made him realize that there was a world outside watching them. Dettori also discussed the physical challenges of the show, including the heat and fatigue of the jungle, and the constant need for food to fuel the body.

Disappointment and Gratitude

When asked if he was disappointed to be the first one out, Dettori admitted his disappointment but also expressed his happiness for lasting nearly two weeks in the jungle. He overcame his fears of enclosed spaces and snakes in the same task and had the opportunity to meet wonderful people. Overall, Dettori described the experience as fantastic.

In the 2023 series of I’m A Celebrity, Nella Rose was the second contestant to be evicted, followed by First Dates star Fred Sirieix.
