A BODY language expert has pointed out a fake moment between Matt Hancock and Gina Colangelo when he was booted out of I’m a Celeb – but did you spot it?
Tonight viewers revisited the moment that the former Health Secretary was the ninth celebrity to be booted out of the jungle.
During this evening’s instalment of I’m A Celeb: The Coming Out Show, the ITV spin-off showed what the campmates got up to after they were voted off our screens.
Matt, 44, placed third on this year’s series and was greeted by his girlfriend Gina on the famous bridge.
The pair embraced each other with a big hug and kiss – but one person thinks that it was “fake.
Speaking to HOAR on behalf of Slingo, Darren Stanton revealed: “Matt exiting the jungle was very interesting from a body language perspective.
“He grabbed Gina in a very tight embrace, proving he is clearly very much in love with her.
“What was interesting about this footage was that Gina was seen pulling a fake smile as he held her hand across the bridge. He clearly forgot that he could be heard and was seen asking Gina if it had been incredibly hard work for her during his jungle stint.
“She replied stating she had ‘so much’ to tell Matt, but tried to mask the private dialogue by flashing a smile in hope of distracting attention away from the exchange.
“It’s very clear that Matt had missed Gina and is besotted by her, but his authenticity can still be questioned, as moments like his secret chat with Gina suggest this.”
Tonight’s episode also showed Gina break down in tears when she was told that Matt was voted off the show.
As she headed to camp in the car to greet Matt, Gina couldn’t contain her emotions.
She said: “I’m so proud of him. I’m so proud of him.”
As Matt laid eyes on Gina, he said: “You look amazing,” and they gave each other a big hug.
“I love you so much,” Matt added.
The MP apologised that he was away for so long and Gina replied that it had been awful.
Matt told her: “It’s going to be great from here on in.”
“You don’t know what lies ahead,” Gina replied.
Matt is arguably one of the most controversial celebrities to take part in the show.
The politician was sacked from his Secretary of State role during the coronavirus pandemic for breaking Covid rules with his aide Gina.
