I’M A Celebrity star Matt Hancock might be on his sixth trial – but things aren’t getting any easier for the MP.

The first-look at his challenge tonight shows him buried underground in a coffin-sized container filled with snakes.

The former Health Secretary is given just 11 minutes to unlock 11 stars, scrabbling around in near darkness for keys.

He’s also far from alone, with snakes slithering through holes in the sides of his underground home.

Last night, viewers saw Matt chosen by I’m A Celeb viewers to take part in yet another trial, called Deserted Down Under.

Matt, 44, quickly loses his trademark cheerfulness as he says: “Oh that’s a snake right next to me. I can’t find anything.”

Dec Donnelly, watching what’s going on from a screen outside, told him: “Feel all around for the keys.”

Matt has been nominated for every trial since he joined the jungle late, alongside comedian Seann Walsh.

Some viewers have complained about his treatment with one calling it “glorified bullying”.

Matt has often spoken about his fear of snakes and one flung itself at him during last night’s trial.

Sunday evening’s episode also showed him getting a rare bit of positive news, having been chosen as the camp leader.

He quickly appointed Loose Women’s Charlene White as his deputy – though faced a rebellion from some members of camp including Boy George.
