I’m A Celebrity star Tony Bellew was left seething after losing the opportunity for a luxury breakfast on the show. The 40-year-old boxer was seen venting his frustration as the credits rolled, and it seems the drama continued off-screen. Ant and Dec later revealed that a heated argument took place behind the scenes.
Tony Bellew’s breakfast dream shattered
According to the MailOnline, Dec shared Tony’s reaction: “He was like, ‘That’s not right. They’re doing that because they want to see a fat man starve!'” It seems that Tony’s disappointment didn’t end there. Ant and Dec mentioned that they hoped he wouldn’t be chosen for the next drinking trial, as he had already spat out the beans during a previous challenge. Dec expressed his concern, saying, “If Tony has to do the drinking challenge, he’s going to punch me in the face. I mean, he can’t even eat beans.” Ant added jokingly, “He’ll knock both of us out. Can we not do it? Can’t we send in a VT of ourselves?”
A clash of titans
Unfortunately for both Ant and Dec, Tony was indeed selected to participate in the next challenge alongside Nigel Farage. Tony was convinced that he and Nick Pickard had emerged victorious in the handball challenge against Frankie Dettori and Fred Siriex. However, his hopes were shattered when the results were announced, leading to an outburst of anger. “That is a load of b***ocks. We need VAR,” Tony raged. Viewers were taken aback by his strong reaction and the open feud between the two teams. One person wrote, “Tony scares me like he’s going to kick off at any minute,” while another suggested, “Nah, can we not get a live stream of Tony Bellew’s continuous reaction to that result? He’s not far off being ready to swing at Ant and Dec with that losing rage building…”
