Amazon to Charge for Same-Day Delivery

Amazon is causing discontent among its Prime members by implementing a new charge for same-day delivery on certain orders. Previously, this service was free for all eligible orders, but starting from tomorrow, Prime members will be charged £1.99 for same-day delivery orders under £20.

Disappointment and Disapproval

Prime members have expressed their frustration on social media, with many believing that this change contradicts the purpose of Prime membership. Some shoppers have even threatened to shop elsewhere, claiming that Amazon is no longer a place for bargains.

Eligibility and Delivery Process

Same-day delivery is only available to customers residing in eligible postcodes. To determine eligibility, the option will appear under the delivery method at checkout. In order to receive a same-day delivery, eligible customers must place their order before midday to ensure delivery by 10pm.

Next-Day Delivery Still Free for Prime Members

Despite the change, Amazon Prime members will still receive free next-day delivery on all eligible items in their basket.

Cancellation Options for Unsatisfied Customers

If customers are dissatisfied with these changes or want to save money, they have the option to cancel their Amazon Prime membership. Instructions on how to cancel are provided on the Amazon Prime Account page.

Other Updates

In other news, Royal Mail has announced significant fee changes, including a Christmas surcharge, and Spotify users should be aware of a major change revealed by Martin Lewis.
