Thousands Can Benefit from the Household Support Fund
Residents in Trafford, Greater Manchester have the opportunity to receive an extra £100 through the Household Support Fund (HSF). The HSF, which is worth a staggering £842 million, has been allocated by the Government to councils in England for distribution. While some councils are offering vouchers, Trafford residents can fill out a simple form to receive the cash directly or in the form of vouchers for essentials like food and energy.
Eligibility and How to Apply
In order to be eligible for the £100 payment, residents must currently live in Trafford, be 16 years or older, and pay rent to a private landlord or have a monthly mortgage. It is not necessary to be on benefits to qualify. The amount you receive will be based on your income and spending. More Financial Assistance for Eligible Individuals
In addition to the HSF, millions of individuals are set to receive cost of living payments worth up to £1,350. The first installment of £900 has already been paid to those on certain benefits, including Universal Credit and Pension Credit. Furthermore, eligible pensioners will receive an extra £150 or £300 on top of their Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023/24. If born before September 25, 1957, individuals will be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment and can expect to receive a letter in October or November with details of the amount they will receive. Additionally, those on prepayment meters can receive a one-off fuel voucher from their energy supplier.
