Tesco Store Gains Local Recognition
One Tesco store in central London has become an Asset of Community Value (ACV) after receiving protection from local councillors. The branch, located in Dean Street, was nominated by the Soho Society and granted ACV status by Westminster City Council. This recognition came after plans to demolish the store, along with an Art Deco building, were rejected by the council. The proposed replacement included offices and a retail space known as an "art bazaar."
