White concocted fictional characters to convince the man they could move to Dubai for the long term. She used his personal details to apply for 22 loans, credit cards, and bank accounts, leaving him broke and with no income.
Guilty plea and sentencing
White pleaded guilty to controlling and coercive behavior and fraud. The court heard how she defrauded landlords, housemates, and other unsuspecting victims while maintaining a facade of success.
