A man with one of the best-paid jobs in Britain claims that you don't need a degree to achieve the same level of success, as £60,000 a year is well within reach.

The Londoner's TikTok Revelation

A London-based scaffolder took to TikTok to share a video explaining his earnings in the capital.

A man without a degree says his job nets him £60,000 a year

The Londoner revealed what scaffolders earn at each stage of their career

According to his video, a labourer working on a scaffold can expect to earn between £16 and £19 an hour. As a trainee scaffolder, wages can rise to around £20-£24 an hour. However, once the training is complete, a scaffolder could earn over £30 an hour. In fact, an eight-hour shift as a fully trained scaffolder could result in earning around £240.

By earning this daily sum for 260 working days in a year, the annual salary can amount to £62,400.

Scaffolding: Among the Highest-Paying Jobs without a Degree

The Telegraph reports that scaffolding is one of the highest-paying jobs that doesn't require a degree. On average, entry-level scaffolders reportedly earn around £48,000, which is more than many desk-bound professions.

Other manual jobs with basic pay above £45,000 include door installers (£54,000) and tile fitters (£51,000).

Andrew Hunter, from Adzuna, emphasized that school leavers who choose not to attend university should take heart. He noted that the subjects chosen may not have a significant impact on entry-level earnings. Instead, it's the skills developed on the job that can help individuals climb up the pay charts.

A Success Story Amidst the Rising Gig Economy

This revelation follows a recent story in which a woman shared how she transitioned her side hustle into a full-time job that pays £120,000 a year. These stories are inspiring and showcase the potential for financial success without a traditional degree.
