A KFC restaurant in Dorset has locked its doors and shared a sad message with shoppers after closing down. The popular fast food chain has explained that they are currently "reviewing their portfolio" and have had to close some stores in the meantime. While this is disappointing news, the company has reassured their loyal fans that they can always find their next nearest restaurant on the KFC website.

Fast Food Chains Struggle in the UK

KFC is not the only fast food chain to face closures in recent months. In September, McDonald's permanently shut down a franchise branch in Dorset. Additionally, The Restaurant Group, a beloved family restaurant chain, had to close down 23 stores in May. However, there is some good news, as other fast food chains are expanding in the UK.

Positive Expansion by Other Chains

HOAR has exclusively revealed that Chick-fil-A has plans to open new branches from early 2025. Meanwhile, Dunkin' Donuts is set to double its store count in the UK over the next two years. The popular burger joint Patty and Bun has also been saved from closure after agreeing to a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA).

Other News in the UK

In other news, Aldi has brought back its popular winter gadget to help people avoid putting the heating on. Additionally, a major fashion retailer has launched a huge closing down sale ahead of shutting its doors after 24 years.
