Introduction

Manchester-based sportswear giant Castore, known for sponsoring Premier League and Formula 1 teams, has opened its first flagship store in Dublin. The store marks a significant step for Castore as it aims to reach its highest potential by 2024 and beyond.

Expansion Plans

Castore plans to open an additional 23 bespoke flagship stores across the UK as part of its growth and expansion strategy. These stores will serve as touchpoints for customers to experience the brand firsthand and further establish Castore as a key player in the retail sports market.

A Physical Platform for Products

Will Clarke, Chief Merchandising and Operating Officer at Castore, expressed excitement about the opening of the Dublin store, stating that it provides a physical platform to showcase Castore's products in an interactive way. He emphasized Castore's commitment to growth and positioning the brand as a leader in the retail sports market.

The Beginnings of Castore

Castore was founded in 2016 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon. Frustrated by the lack of high-quality men's sportswear in the market, they started the premium label from their kitchen table. While primarily an online retailer, Tom Beahon always envisioned opening physical stores to enhance the shopping experience for customers.

A Growing List of Partnerships

Since its inception, Castore has secured impressive kit deals with Premiership football teams, the Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team, and the England and Wales Cricket Board. The brand also collaborates with McLaren, Saracens, and various football clubs, including Rangers, Newcastle United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Castore's clientele has expanded to include Sevilla in Spain, Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, and Feyenoord in the Netherlands.

With its first flagship store in Dublin and plans for future expansions, Castore is poised to make its mark in the retail sports market.
