Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, appeared on the late-night football show Das aktuelle Sportstudio on German channel ZDF in Mainz. However, his football shootout performance left a lot to be desired.

The Invictus Games Promotion

Fresh from opening the Invictus Games, the 38-year-old prince traveled 135 miles to appear on the German version of Match of the Day to help promote the competition.

Clumsy Penalties

During the show, Prince Harry was challenged to a goal wall challenge, alongside Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and two other guests. Unfortunately, he failed to hit the target with all three of his penalties, mirroring the fate of the England national team.

Adding insult to injury, German minister Pistorius calmly scored two goals out of two attempts in the bottom right corner of the net.

Harry's Invictus Games Speech

During the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry compared himself to US President JFK and referenced Meghan Markle's claim of having Nigerian descent. He even took a new riff on President Kennedy's famous speech in West Berlin in 1963 by saying 'Ich bin ein Dusseldorfer' to the packed audience in Dusseldorf.

Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, did not accompany him to the Invictus Games, but is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. During his speech, Prince Harry mentioned Meghan only once, celebrating her heritage.
