Josh will play Prince Charles in the upcoming third and fourth seasons of The Crown, covering the years 1964-1970 when Charles was aged between 16 and 22.
Speaking about portraying Prince Charles, he toldThe Hollywood Reporter: “I am thrilled to be joining The Firm for the next instalment of The Crown.
“Seasons three and four will follow some of the most turbulent events in the Prince of Wales’ life and our national story, and I’m excited to be bringing to life the man in the midst of it all.”
Josh added: “I’m very aware it’s a formidably talented family to be joining but reliably informed I have the ears for the part and will fit right in.”
When is The Crown season three available on Netflix?
The Crown series three will be available on Netflix from Sunday November 17.
And it’s thought there won’t be a long wait for a season four either.

Why is Josh O’Connor famous?
Josh, 28, was born on May 20, 1990, and is an English actor.
He is best known for his portrayal of Johnny Saxby in the 2017 film God’s Own Country, directed by Francis Lee, for which he won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor.
The star is also well-loved for playing Lawrence on ITV hit show The Durrells.
But he has also had roles as PC Bobby Grace on Ripper Street and as Ada’s housemates James in Peaky Blinders.
