CORONATION Street has recast a major role after eight years.

The ITV soap is bringing back a blast from the past for Faye Windass, but with a new actor in the role, HOAR can exclusively reveal.

Rhys Cadman originally played the role in Coronation Street

Joseph William Evans has now taken over the role on the cobbles

Jackson Hodge will make a shock comeback to the cobbles this month, eight years after his first appearance.

Originally played by actor Rhys Cadman, the then schoolboy was responsible for getting Faye pregnant in Coronation Street.

She famous gave birth in the flat above the local shop with Craig Windass for support in place of gas and air.

Viewers watched as Faye struggled with being a young teen mother, and eventually she gave up custody of baby Miley to Jackson and his family.

He later moved to Canada, but now Jackson will return seeking out Faye with the news they have moved back to Weatherfield.

Actor Joseph William Evans has taken over the role from Rhys for a short appearance this year.

A source said: “Jackson’s return is set to be explosive.

“Faye is definitely not going to expect it or what he has to say.”

Jackson will reach out to Faye next week but she is set to ignore him.

However when he turns up on the cobbles, introducing himself to Sally and Tim as Miley’s Dad, he causes shockwaves.

He explains that he and Miley have moved to the UK and he’s been trying to get in touch with Faye.

Sally breaks the news to Tim that Faye’s been ignoring his messages because she doesn’t want to see her daughter.

Tim’s shocked by the development, but what will happen when Jackson comes face to face with the mother of his child?
