EastEnders fans fear for Kheerat after a Panesar family intervention ends in disaster

Jean Slater invited Nish to a games night at her house to try and help him bond with his kids, not knowing the full story behind their relationship

Nish had spent 20 years inside after killing a man he thought was having an affair with his wife, Suki, but his children didn’t know the reason behind his incarceration.

However, Kheerat found out and soon told his siblings Ash and Vinny, and in tonight’s episode, they were seen giving their dad the cold shoulder when he turned up at the house.

Unaware of what was really going on, kind-hearted Jean Slater wanted to help mediate Kheerat’s relationship with his father for the sake of her daughter Stacey and her relationship with the handsome Panesar.

She invited Nish round for a games night – which was then turned into a karaoke night by Alfie Moon and Freddie Slater – but it didn’t have the desired effect.

Nish and Kheerat clashed in the kitchen, with Kheerat accusing his dad of forgetting about his faith, while Nish insisted he knew exactly who he was.

Later, Nish sat Kheerat, Ash and Vinny down and opened up about what happened on the night he took another man’s life.

He pleaded with them that it had made him reevaluate his life and that he wanted another chance, before leaving to allow them to think things over.

While Kheerat appeared to remain unmoved by his father’s speech, Ash and Vinny seemed more willing to give him a chance.

But Nish showed his true colours as he met with son Ravi in the Vic, saying: “Kheerat has shown himself to be the snake that he really is.

“His mother has clearly given him a false sense of importance.”

When a delighted Ravi asked what he wanted him to do, Nish replied: “Keep an eye on him, where he goes, who he does business with…but don’t give him any reason to get suspicious.”

Ravi then asked what his dad had in mind, and he admitted: “I don’t know yet.”

But he added with menace: “But one thing is for sure, if he continues to betray me, he’s on borrowed time.”

EastEnders fans were concerned for Kheerat after Nish’s words, with one writing on Twitter: “Kheerat be careful Nish is onto you.”

Another added: “I hope Kheerat never gets sucked in to Nish’s lies & manipulation. I hope he continues to see Nish’s true colours.”

A third tweeted: “Kheerat needs to wait for the right time to pounce on Nish. Play the long game like he did with Gray.”

Ash and Vinny softened towards Nish after he explained more about why he was in prison but Kheerat didn’t
