LIV Flaherty has been betrayed by her own mother Sandra who was only looking to get her hands on her money.
Next week, as she gets attacked by a vile thug, she is met with the return of another family member to Emmerdale – her brother Aaron.

Terry was Sandra Flaherty’s accomplice
Sandra Flaherty has wreaked havoc in the eponymous village since returning but she was finally caught up with the truth after taking advantage of her daughter Liv (played by Isobel Steele).
Coming up next week, Liv is grateful for Paddy’s support when he convinces her to take a day off work.
But Sandra’s accomplice Terry (Neil Bell) is lurking in the shadows, adamant on teaching Liv a lesson for ruining his plans.
When Liv returns home, she finds the conman waiting for her and he demands that she retracts her statement to the police.
The confrontation escalates and Liv fights against Terry who ends up knocking her down.
Liv falls unconscious after hitting her head on the table.
Believing he may have killed her, Terry panics and bolts out of the door… only to run straight into a familiar face, Liv’s older brother Aaron.
Danny Miller reprises his role next week after leaving the ITV soap in December, 2021, when he struggled to believe Liv didn’t murder his boyfriend Ben Tucker.
But with the truth finally out in the open, Aaron heads back to the Dales, ready to defend Liv against Terry.
Aaron attacks Terry but PC Harriet Finch arrives on the scene before he can inflict any further damage.
Meanwhile, Liv remains unresponsive and the paramedics are called, while Aaron is arrested.
The character’s return is a huge surprise for his mother Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and he contests his own arrest.
Liv’s husband Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is frantic when he gets to the hospital and he’s surprised to hear that Aaron was there to protect her.
Chas demands that Aaron be released and rages at Harriet when her request is brushed off.
In later scenes, Aaron is finally allowed to roam free, prompting him and Chas to see Liv, concerned about her condition.
However, when they get to the hospital, Vinny does Liv’s bidding by denying Aaron access to her, insisting she wants nothing to do with him.
Aaron is crestfallen, wondering if his return to make amends was a mistake.
As mentioned above, Aaron left the village behind struck by grief and unconvinced by Liv’s innocence in Ben Tucker’s murder.
Abandoned by her own family and thrown behind bars, Liv heavily struggled to overcome the hardship and even turned back to drinking.
Will she make a full recovery?
Could she forgive Aaron?
