MONTHS after her sister Meena Jutla’s arrest and trial for murder, Manpreet Sharma has enjoyed a quieter life in the Dales.
Unfortunately, a familiar face rocks up Emmerdale, set to wreak havoc in her relationship with local vicar Charles Anderson.

Will Claudette cause Manpreet trouble?
The village GP portrayed by Rebecca Sarker was put through the wringer when she discovered her sinister sister Meena was a serial killer, wreaking havoc in the shadows.
But after the evil nurse was thrown in prison, Manpreet was able to recover from the traumatic events, which included a harrowing hostage situation, make the most of her romantic relationship with Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).
She was able to support him as he mended his own bond with long-lost daughter Naomi Walters, whom she suspected to be up to no good.
In scenes airing next week on ITV, another member of Charles’ family rocks up the eponymous Dales and, this time, Manpreet may have a harder time getting used to them.
Coming up, she’s horrified when Charles’ mother Claudette arrives at Woodbine as she realises she’s seen the woman before.
Manpreet remembers her from a previous altercation in the café which lead the women to get off to a VERY awkward start.
To make matters worse, Claudette (played by Flo Wilson) reopens old wounds by upbraiding her for her past jilting of Charles.
In later scenes, Manpreet talks openly to him about her difficulties with Claudette, hoping to find comfort and guidance… and unaware that the newcomer has heard every word.
Claudette decides to get payback for these complaints and takes every opportunity she can to hurt Manpreet’s feelings.
Charles and Manpreet are then left concerned when Claudette arrives having put her back out.
But disappointment looms in the household as Charles then chooses to stay home and look after Claudette, declining a date night with Manpreet.
What is Claudette really up to?
Could she have an ulterior motive for seeing Charles?
