THE next seven-star raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will feature an Ice-type Inteleon.

Inteleon is a generation eight starter Pokémon, and the second to appear after Cinderace.

Inteleon is hoping to snipe you out.

It has powerful Water-type attacks, and will be a popular raid target.

Here’s everything we know and the best counters for the upcoming Inteleon raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon SV: Inteleon raid

The Inteleon raids will take place over two weekends. Firstly, from Friday, April 28, 2023, until Sunday, April 30, 2023.

It will appear again from Friday, May 5, 2023, until Sunday, May 7, 2023.

As an Ice-type, Inteleon is likely to have Snowscape to boost its Defense by 50%, along with Blizzard, which is accurate in the snow.

It could also have Haze which will clear other Pokémon’s stat changes and is an Ice-type move.

We also expect it to have moves with a high Critical Hit rate, such as Air Cutter, to take advantage of its Sniper ability.

We’d round out the set with Snipe Shot which is Inteleon’s Water-type signature move.

Here’s the set we predict:

The Mightiest Inteleon – Level 100

  • Nature – Rash
  • Ability – Sniper
  • Item – None
  • Tera type – Ice
  • Potential movesetSnowscape, Blizzard, Snipe Shot, Air Cutter, Chilling Water, Dark Pulse, Haze

Pokémon SV: Inteleon Counters

With Water- and Flying-type moves the only safe counter to Inteleon is Steel types.

Inteleon will also have a high defense with Snowscape and the ability to drop attack with Chilling Water so we recommend Special Attackers.

Pokémon that resist Critical Hits are also good against its ability Sniper.

Here’s some counters you can try.

Tinkaton

The Amy Rose of Pokémon.

Tinkaton is one of the best supportive Pokémon in the game, with a great defensive typing, and good supportive moves.

Mold Breaker will reduce the damage done by Inteleon’s Critical Hits, and Light Screen and Thunder Wave will keep Tinkaton healthy.

Helping Hand can help out if you fight in a team, while Gigaton Hammer will provide the offensive pressure you need.

Here’s our recommended set.

Tinkaton – Level 100

  • Nature – Careful
  • Ability – Mold Breaker
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Steel
  • Potential moveset – Gigaton Hammer, Light Screen, Thunder Wave, Helping Hand

Corviknight

It feels cruel to put Tinkaton and Corviknight next to each other on this list.

Corviknight is another great supportive Steel type, with moves like Light Screen and Screen to help out the team.

As Inteleon is a Special Attacker, Swagger will up the Attack meaning that when it hits itself in confusion it takes big damage.

Iron Head completes the set by giving it an Attack to use, and Mirror Armor will prevent drops from Chilling Water.

Here’s what we recommend.

Corviknight – Level 100

  • Nature – Careful
  • Ability – Mirror Armor
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Steel
  • Potential moveset – Light Screen, Screech, Swagger, Iron Head

Perrserker

Perrserker is a common choice for difficult raids.

Another amazing supportive Steel type, it can keep its Special Defense high with Amnesia.

It can also boost its Attack and lower Inteleon’s Defense with Swords Dance and Screech,

Helping Hand will help out in a team, and Iron Head will give it the offense in solos. It also has Battle Armor which prevents critical hits.

Here’s the set we recommend.

Perrserker – Level 100

  • Nature – Careful
  • Ability – Battle Armor
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Steel
  • Potential moveset – Iron Head, Screech, Amnesia, Swords Dance, Helping Hand

Gholdengo

Gholdengo is one of the few Steel-type special attackers.

As a Steel type and a Special Attacker, Gholdengo is perfect for this raid.

It can boost its attack with Nasty Plot and lower Inteleon’s Defense with Metal Sound.

Make it Rain is a powerful Steel-type attack that will take Inteleon quickly.

Here’s what we recommend.

Gholdengo – Level 100

  • Nature – Calm
  • Ability – Good as Gold
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Steel
  • Potential moveset – Nasty Plot, Light Screen, Metal Sound, Make it Rain

Crabominable

Crabominable will also benefit from Snowscape’s boost.

As an Ice type, Crabominable will be able to boost its Defense when Inteleon uses Snowscape.

With Anger Point, if Inteleon lands a critical hit, its Attack will also be maximised.

Substitute will keep it safe while also dropping HP for a powerful Reversal.

Here’s the set we recommend.

Crabominable – Level 100

  • Nature – Careful
  • Ability – Anger Point
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Ice
  • Potential moveset – Amnesia, Bulk Up, Substitute, Reversal, Close Combat
