THERE is a vast amount of gear that you can pick up as you travel around the world of Hogwarts Legacy.

While you may not have a use for it all, you will quickly find it filling up all of your Gear Slots.

Here’s where you pick up your upgrades.

Once they are full, you can’t pick up new gear, and with limited space, this can happen quickly.

If you’re struggling with your inventory space in Hogwarts Legacy, let us explain how to expand it.

Hogwarts Legacy: What does “Your Gear Slots are full” mean?

If you see this message when you try to pick something up in Hogwarts Legacy it means that your inventory is full.

If you’re not in a position to upgrade your space, then you have two options.

You can either go to a shop and sell some of your existing gear, or destroy the unwanted items in your inventory.

Neither is a long-term solution but can help you out in the short term.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to get more Gear Slots

Merlin Trials are the key to adding more Gear Slots to your inventory. They are marked by a leaf icon on the map.

You will gain more space after you complete two, six, 10, 14, and 18 trials.

After you’ve completed these, you need to go into your menu and collect your reward for the slots to increase.

Hogwarts Legacy: Can you store Gear?

There’s no Gear storage in Hogwarts Legacy, so the only Gear you have is whatever is on you.

However, once you find a piece of Gear it’s appearance is then added, so even if you sell or destroy a piece, you can still change to that look.

This means you are free to discard low-grade gear whenever you like without consequence.

Hogwarts Legacy: How to get Mallowsweet

You will need Mallowsweet in order to complete Merlin Trials, as you will need one in order to activate them.

The best way to get this is by growing it from seeds in the Room of Requirement.

If you plant it once, it will grow back every time you harvest it.

Mallowsweet can also be purchased for different merchants and vendors found across the world.
