Gamers have taken advantage of a PS5 deal at Asda where a highly-acclaimed game is scanning at just £5.

The game causing all the buzz is "Stray," a third-person cat adventure set in a futuristic neon-lit city devoid of humans.

PS5 enthusiasts have been thrilled to find this game priced at £5 in Asda stores, although availability may vary by location.

An eagle-eyed shopper in Havant, Hampshire, was quick to spot this incredible price drop.

Normally, "Stray" retails for around £20.

"Worth checking if you're in an Asda," the savvy shopper shared on HotUKDeals.

"Awesome game," echoed a pleased fan.

The backstory of Stray

Before the launch of the game, producers shared with HOAR that the concept for Stray originated from two artists inspired by the densely populated Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong.

They envisioned this environment as the perfect playground for a cat.

"Because they were cat owners and cat lovers themselves, it really started to take a precise shape in their head when they did this," explained Swann Martin-Raget at the time.

One standout feature of Stray is its meticulous attention to detail, achieved through in-depth research on cat behaviors, such as their jumping capabilities.

"They step right on the power button of the computer just when you're about to save your work," Swann humorously shared. "They also start meowing when you have an important call, but jokes aside, they really help us because they're a constant reference."

Such was the success of Stray that a movie adaptation is currently in progress.
