FORTNITE is more than just a battle royale game, and its other modes have just as big of an audience.

Fortnite Save the World is a single-player or co-op mode where players face off against AI-controlled monsters.

Fortnite Creative offers a world of opportunities for players.

Meanwhile, Fortnite Creative lets players create their own islands featuring cool bases, minigames, or even just a playground to hang out with friends.

Every season more and more content gets added to the game, and the Battle Royale mode was recently upgraded to the new Unreal Engine 5.

This allows for higher graphics quality and more complex customization tools, especially when it comes to lighting.

This has inevitably led fans to wonder when Fortnite Creative will get the same treatment, as it would greatly expand the possibilities for island creation.

But what exactly does Fortnite Creative 2.0 have to offer, and when can we get our hands on it? We’ll run down all the information we know so far.

What is Fortnite Creative 2.0?

Fortnite Creative is already a very complex tool for those who know how to use it.

Fans are able to use Fortnite assets and in-built systems to create their own worlds with all sorts of interactivity.

Modes like Prop Hunt, where players turn into objects and play hide-and-seek with other players, or even a complete recreation of GTA 5’s map.

While we don’t know exactly what’s coming in Fortnite Creative 2.0, Unreal Engine 5 features a lot of dynamic creation tools that will expand the possibilities even further.

Control rigs, modeling, VFX, and sequencers, will all be included, essentially allowing creators to make fully-functional games in Fortnite if they know how.

When is the Fortnite Creative 2.0 release date?

As of right now, there is not a solid release date, but it is expected very soon.

It was originally set to come out in December 2022, but was pushed back to January 2023, and has since been pushed even further back into March 2023.

With March well underway and Unreal’s GDC stream happening tonight, we could have a release date – or even full access to Fortnite Creative 2.0 – as soon as tomorrow.

However, due to the complexities of the system, it will likely only be released on PC first, so Xbox and PS5 players will have to wait.
