Save Big with Supermarket Savings Stamp Schemes

Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, has urged Sainsbury's shoppers to take advantage of several schemes that offer up to £25 in free cash for Christmas. The experts have shared their top tips in this week's newsletter, revealing how Brits can make significant savings with these schemes.

Sainsbury's Christmas Club Card Offers Flat £2.50 Bonus

One of the schemes highlighted by the experts is the Sainsbury's Christmas Club Card. This scheme pays a flat £2.50 bonus for every £50 saved. By saving £500, customers can receive the maximum free £25 bonus. The card can be activated and used both in-store and online at Sainsbury's and Argos.

Timing is Everything

While most supermarkets pay out the bonus based on the total amount saved by a specific day or month, the money pros advise shoppers to deposit cash just before the payout date. This way, a small percentage (around 3 to 6 per cent) will be added on top of the savings.

Other Supermarkets with Saving Bonuses

Sainsbury's isn't the only supermarket offering significant savings. Tesco's Christmas Saver account, for example, provides a £12 bonus if customers top it up with £200 before the deadline. Asda's saving scheme allows customers to boost their Christmas cash by up to 5.35 per cent of their deposit. Iceland and Co-op are also offering saving bonuses over the Christmas period.

Don't Miss Out on Extra Bonuses

Asda shoppers can earn additional bonuses by using the Asda Rewards app. By doing so, they have the chance to receive up to £5 via the Christmas Saver Cashpot.

Be sure to act quickly to take advantage of these money-saving opportunities and make this Christmas a little easier on your wallet.
