Dim T set to undergo major changes

A much-loved Asian restaurant chain, Dim T, is preparing to close all but one of its locations in a significant overhaul. The chain owner, Tasty, has announced plans to shut down several sites, delivering a blow to diners.

Reasons behind the closures

The decision to close all but one branch of Dim T comes as Tasty, which also owns Wildwood, faces a challenging start to the year. The group cited the need to exit around 20 loss-making restaurants as part of its restructuring plans.

Financial impact and restructuring plans

By the end of the current year, Tasty aims to operate approximately 30 restaurants, down from the current 54 establishments. The company plans to enter into a new £750,000 loan agreement to fund the restructuring, with expectations to improve earnings by up to £2.1 million by the 2025 financial year.

Positive outlook despite closures

Despite the closures and financial challenges, Tasty reported trimmed earnings loss and expects to confirm increased revenues for the upcoming years. The group remains optimistic about its progress despite recent trading difficulties.
