Shoppers Spot Unveiled Purple Fizzy Drink

Shoppers have recently noticed a new "mystery" Fanta flavor on store shelves, and it has sparked mixed reactions among fans. The Coca-Cola-owned brand introduced a new purple-colored fizzy drink as part of this year's Fanta lineup.

Zero Sugar Strawberry Cheesecake Flavor

One soda enthusiast spotted Fanta's latest addition to its range—the zero sugar Strawberry Cheesecake flavor. They shared a photo of the new drink on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, revealing that Heron Foods in Crossgates, Leeds, is stocking eight cans of this intriguing flavor.

Divided Opinions Among Bargain Hunters

Fellow bargain hunters quickly jumped in to comment on the post, but opinions were divided. Some expressed their love for the new flavor, particularly when mixed with white wine to create a spritzer or cocktail. However, others were not impressed, describing it as awful and overly sweet. One person even questioned whether all Fanta flavors are the same.

Fanta's Flavor Lineup

This new addition follows the successful launches of Fanta Raspberry Zero Sugar in 2020 and Fanta Zero Strawberry and Kiwi in 2022. Last year, Fanta also introduced Fanta Zero Watermelon to its lineup.

Price Increase for Fanta

It's worth noting that Coca-Cola raised the price of a 2l bottle of Fanta by 19p, according to Trolley's grocery price index. In March 2022, a 2l bottle of Fanta Orange had an average cost of £1.92. However, the current price stands at around £2.11, resulting in an average increase of approximately 9.9%. Interestingly, the recipe for Fanta Orange has remained unchanged despite the price hike.

New Releases from Other Brands

Marks and Spencer recently launched its own soda brand with a retro aesthetic on the can and classic flavors like cream soda. Costa has also introduced a winter menu featuring a thick milkshake drink served warm. The milkshake comes in three flavors: White Chocolate and Strawberry, Salted Caramel Coffee, and Chocolate Hazel.

Tango is set to release Raspberry Blast and Cherry Blast flavors, which are the same flavors found in the Ice Blast slushy. Additionally, fans can enjoy an alcoholic Tango Ice Blast cocktail, although it is only available at one British bar. Vimto Discovery Zero is also preparing to unveil new flavors, including passionfruit and lychee, as well as mango and dragon fruit.
