Confident of success in the next General Election

Rishi Sunak, the UK Prime Minister, declared that he is "fired up" and determined to remain in office until 2030, despite lagging behind in the polls.

While heading to the G20 summit in New Delhi, Sunak acknowledged his frustration over recent challenges, such as the dodgy concrete scandal and the escape of a terror suspect prisoner. However, he dismissed concerns from within his own party, insisting that he is still committed to winning the next election, expected in autumn 2024.

Hungry to win and fired up to deliver

Sunak, who has made changes to his Cabinet in preparation for the election battle, expressed his confidence and hunger for victory.

"We are fired up here in Downing Street," Sunak stated. "We've brought in high-quality individuals who believe in our victory. They are hungry to win, and so am I. We are fired up to deliver."

Overcoming challenges and pushing for progress

Despite facing controversies and upcoming by-elections, Sunak laughed off suggestions that he is an unlucky leader. He emphasized that progress is being made on his key pledges, including tackling inflation and reducing channel boat crossings.

Sunak remains determined to prove his capabilities and secure his first general election victory. If this occurs in January 2025, it could keep him in power until 2030.

"I will demonstrate what I am capable of in the time I have before the election," Sunak declared. "Give me a full term, and I will show what I can deliver for you."
