Best weapons for Xingqiu in Genshin Impact
Xingqiu’s two abilities make him a powerful addition to any team in Genshin Impact.
While his standard damage output is quite bad, he can dish it out when off-field.
He also contributes to support, by healing, and boosting the active character’s defense, while also providing steady Hydro application and ability damage.
Since his cooldowns are quite long, Sacrificial Sword, a four-star weapon is a strong choice.
It offers a 40 percent chance of skipping a skill’s cooldown after using it.
Alternative weapon options for Xingqiu are:
- Primordial Jade Cutter (five-star Sword) – increases Critical Hit Rate, HP, Attack.
- Skyward Blade (five-star Sword) – increases Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, damage.
- Favonius Sword (four-star Sword) – increases Energy Recharge, regenerates energy on critical hits.
Best artifacts for Xingqiu in Genshin Impact
Xingqiu’s maximum health is important as the amount of healing he can do is linked to this number.
However, as healing isn’t Xingqiu’s main function, you don’t have to use an artifact to boost it.
On the other hand, his Energy Recharge is a limiting factor, as his abilities can use a lot of it.
A full set of Emblem of Severed Fate works well with Xingqiu, as wearing two pieces increases the Energy Recharge by 20 percent.
Four pieces of the set increase the damage caused by abilities based on the character’s Energy Recharge.
If you equip everything you massively strengthen Xingqiu in his role and allow him to consistently add to the team’s damage output.
An alternative would be a mix of two pieces of Noblesse Oblige and two pieces of Heart of Depth.
The former increases ability damage, the latter increases Hydro damage.
Look out for the following stat distributions on your artifact pieces:
- Plume: Attack (main stat), Attack %, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Elemental Mastery (sub stats).
- Flower: HP (main stat), Attack %, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Energy Recharge (sub stats).
- Sands: Energy Recharge (main stat), Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery (sub stats).
- Goblet: Hydro Damage % (main stat), Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Attack %, Energy Recharge (sub stats).
- Circlet: Critical Damage (main stat), Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Energy Recharge, Attack % (sub stats).
Best teams for Xingqiu in Genshin Impact
Many powerful teams use Xingqiu, with his powerful off-field abilities, including the so-called National team.
This is comprised of:
- Raiden (Main DPS), Xiangling (Sub DPS), Xingqiu (Sub DPS), Bennett (Support)
Xiangling and Xingqiu work well off-field with powerful healing and boosting abilities.
When combined with a strong damage dealer like Raiden, this team is almost unstoppable.
A variant of this with more easy-to-collect characters would put Xiangling as the main DPS with Chongyun filling her empty role.
- Hu Tao (Main DPS), Yelan (Sub DPS), Xingqiu (Sub DPS), Zhongli (Support)
This team combines the Hydro power of Yelan and Xingqiu with Hu Tao’s Pyro attacks for elemental
reactions.
The Hydro resonance also adds more health to the team and improves Zhongli’s shields.
Xingqiu is a strong support for any damage dealer that uses standard attacks.
This means he works with Yoimiya, Diluc, Ayato or Ayaka in main DPS positions, while Dori, Kazuha or Sucrose can work well in support.
