Asda reveals exact dates you can book a Christmas delivery slot

ASDA has revealed when customers can book their Christmas food delivery – with some shoppers able to reserve a slot in just days.

Supermarkets are preparing for the festive period early this year as shoppers look spread the cost as the cost of living bites.

Asda are still providing deliveries, with priority going to customers who are self-isolating

But don’t worry, there is still plenty of time to bag yourself a slot.

Asda is opening its booking system to delivery pass customers on Tuesday (October 18).

Other shoppers will have to wait until Tuesday, October 25.

HOAR has asked Asda how many home delivery and click and collect slots it will have available.

Asda has already revealed its Christmas menu, featuring chocolate bowls you can eat and giant mince pies.

Most other supermarkets haven’t opened for Christmas delivery bookings yet, and many are yet to confirm when slots will be available.

Sainsbury’s is set to open its Christmas delivery slots on delivery pass customers on October 17.

All other customers will be able to book their slots from October 25.

Only posh, online supermarket Ocado has opened its Christmas delivery slots so far, meaning you’re still in with a chance of bagging a slot.

Below, we explain when you will be able to book a Christmas delivery slot with Asda.

  • October 18 – food to order, Christmas delivery and collection slots open for delivery pass customers.
  • October 25 – food to order, Christmas delivery and collection slots open for all customers.
  • December 15 – food to order closes.

What is an Asda delivery pass and how does it work?

Asda offers delivery passes so customers who order online don’t have to pay for each individual drop-off of groceries to their door.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons also offer delivery passes to shoppers.

Asda also has different levels of pass – it’s £6.50 for a monthly anytime pass or £65 for the year.

You can pay for an annual Tuesday to Thursday membership for just £35.

You should only consider taking out a delivery pass if you order groceries online regularly.

Existing Asda customers can buy a delivery pass online on the supermarket’s website.

If you don’t already have an account, new customers will need to set one up online.
