They were immediately kicked off the show after coming in bottom of the judges and public votes.

The next two lowest scoring couples were sent to the skate-off to fight for their place in the ITV show.

Comedian Lou Sanders and former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood competed in the skate-off with the judges deciding who went home, opting to save Ricky.

Meanwhile favourite to win, soap star Ryan Thomas has fallen twice while skating on Dancing On Ice, but says he felt better because of the audience cheering him on.

Ryan said: “I’ve not hurt myself, I just hope my kids aren’t watching this one because it’s so embarrassing.”

The judges were not thrilled by Thomas and professional Amani Fancy’s performance, giving them 25 points for their routine to Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat from Guys & Dolls during musical week.

American figure skater Johnny Weir, who is standing in for Diversity troupe leader Ashley Banjo, told Thomas “never be embarrassed”, before saying he had to give him a low score.

At the other end of the leaderboard, two celebrities achieved new series high scores.

Former Love Island contestant Amber Davies has dressed up in a school costume as she performed to Naughty from Roald Dahl‘s Matilda The Musical on Dancing On Ice.

Professional Simon Proulx-Senecal, putting Davies in a headbanger, clinched them 35.5 points, the highest of the series so far.

Davies said that she had an “incredible tough week” and had been “terrified” to take to the ice.

Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire also received the highest score of the series so far, with his topless performance to Cum On Feel The Noize by Slade.

Judge Christopher Dean praised the “enthusiasm you give when you’re performing” after Nazaire skated with partner Vanessa Bauer and got 35.5 points.
